PWInsider Elite is reporting that Logan Paul vs. Ricochet is currently pencilled in to open Saturday's WWE SummerSlam supershow in Detroit.

The site claims Paul has been given special dispensation from the company to kick SummerSlam off so he can jet out of Detroit and head to Dallas, Texas for his brother Jake's fight vs. Nate Diaz. So, it looks like Logan and Rico's battle of the high-flyers will kick things off on the WWE side.

You won't find many fans out there complaining about that decision regardless of the circumstances.

Paul vs. Ricochet always felt like the kind of high-energy bout that'd be ideal for the opening slot anyway. Now, due to Logan's wish to be in attendance for his sibling's next scrap, WWE has apparently decided to pull the trigger and make it the first match people see.

Paul will have to be pretty quick if he fancies making it to Dallas on time to see Jake fight. His match with Ricochet shouldn't be cut short, or anything, but it does look like it'll jerk the curtain at SummerSlam after all.

Logan will be in the air again within the hour!
