William Regal Breaks Silence On WWE Release
The 21-year WWE veteran has broken his silence on a truly shocking departure.
William Regal has taken to Twitter to address his sudden departure from WWE.
In a move that left much of the wrestling community and folks still under the WWE banner in a state of complete shock, 21-year Sports Entertainment veteran William Regal was given his marching orders earlier this week. And with much of the talent still plying their trade within WWE being said to be less than happy about this turn of events, the former NXT General Manager has now broken his silence on his unforeseen release on Twitter.
In the Brit's inevitably gracious own words:
“Thank you to @WWE for a wonderful 21 year run. You gave a lad who was happy and in wonderland wrestling on a carnival have a charmed life for 21 years. No complaints and please no one waste time replying as I won’t have a bad work said against the company.x I will add that @WWE saved my life in 1999 when they didn’t need to, kept my family fed and took me all around the world. You have my gratitude forever. You allowed me to live a charmed life,”

Despite many feeling as though Regal's and a great many of the other recent NXT employee's departures were acting as one final middle finger to the Triple H regime of the past, it's evident that Regal is massively grateful for being a part of Vince McMahon's company for over two decades.
What the future holds for one of the most knowledgable talents the industry has to offer remains to be seen. But should he choose to continue on working as a vital cog within the wrestling world, then any promotion or company would more than benefit from his insights.
Regal's statement comes on the heels of the likes of Samoa Joe, Road Dogg, and Scott Armstrong all using the social media site as a way of shedding some light on their feelings towards their unceremonious exits.
Extremely fortunate and grateful to all the young & amazing talent I had the pleasure of working with in the past months. Only saddened at the loss of an “excuse” to see their continued growth & achievement . I am very excited for there future,….. and mine ?
