Women's Title Match Confirmed For WWE Backlash
Iyo Sky will square off against Bianca Belair at upcoming PLE for Raw Women's Championship.
We've known for a couple weeks now who Bianca Belair's next challenger for her Raw Women's Championship will be, but we learned Monday night when the match will take place.
Iyo Sky will challenge Belair for the red brand's women's title at Backlash next month, per an announcement during Raw.
Sky won a triple threat to become #1 contender on Raw two weeks ago, earning her first shot at singles gold on the main roster. Her title match has been subtly creating more cracks in the foundation of Damage CTRL, with Bayley outwardly supporting her stablemate, but also looking a bit frustrated at not getting another opportunity at the Raw title herself. This could hasten a breakup of the group, which has been a disappointment overall.

Since debuting on the main roster last summer, Sky has been used primarily as a tag wrestler alongside Dakota Kai or in six-woman tags along with Bayley. Iyo has wrestled several singles matches, but she hasn't really had a push as a singles wrestler until now.
Whether this facilitates a breakup of Damage CTRL remains to be seen, though if Sky were to pull off the impossible and win a title Bayley has failed to capture multiple times, it would certainly drive a huge wedge in the group.
