WrestleMania 33 Latest Update On Match Scheduling
What will close the show?
According to The Wrestling Observer, Sunday evening's WrestleMania 33 broadcast is scheduled to be closed by Roman Reigns versus The Undertaker. That match's placement in the main-event slot lends credence to the rumor that this will be Undertaker's final bout.
Additionally, the site is reporting that the Smackdown Women's Championship match (previously advertised as "Alexa Bliss versus every available female competitor") has been moved from the pre-show to the main card, likely due to fan backlash over the placement. Additionally, when WWE was advertising the bout on Smackdown, they referred to the match as a "six-pack challenge" featuring Alexa Bliss, Naomi, Carmella, Natalya, Mickie James, and Becky Lynch - so it's probable that nobody else will be added to the contest.
Finally, on Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that the event's battle royal (which is still currently scheduled for the kickoff show) will feature the debuts of "a few" NXT wrestlers. Last year, NXT's Baron Corbin made his main roster debut in the match, eliminating Kane in order to win the bout.
Of course, all of these plans are subject to change, as scheduling is often switched up prior to major shows.
