WrestleMania NXT TakeOver Special To Be A Two-Night Event?
WWE is looking at having a two-night NXT TakeOver special in the build to WrestleMania 37.
Following on from yesterday’s news that WWE has plans for an NXT TakeOver event to take place on the Thursday before WrestleMania 37, now comes an update to suggest that said black and gold brand special will actually be a two-night affair.
As per PWInsider, not only will TakeOver happen on Thursday 8 April, but there has been internal talk of having the TakeOver action actually start the prior night on the standard Wednesday NXT show.
If this next NXT TakeOver was indeed to be a two-night event that plays out as mentioned, that would mean that Night 1 would air on the USA Network, whilst Night 2 would be exclusive to the WWE Network.
At this stage, WWE has yet to officially comment on a TakeOver taking place during WrestleMania Week, but users looking to cancel their WWE Network subscription are currently being shown listings for an 8 April TakeOver as part of the hard sell for them to continue with their sub.
Of course, this year's Showcase of the Immortals has long been confirmed to be a two-day affair, with WrestleMania 37 to emanate from Raymond James Stadium on 10 and 11 April.
