Duggan's wife, Debra, posted the following on Jim's Twitter account, asking fans to pray for him ahead of a procedure:-

Another tweet followed a few hours later, featuring 'Hacksaw' flashing a big thumbs up after going under the knife, with everything seemingly going well:-

All the best to Jim as he recovers.

Duggan, 67, has suffered a number of health scares over the past few years, including an atrial fibrillation issue in late 2018 that necessitated heart surgery in March 2019. He was also forced to undergo two procedures in 24 hours later that year after contracting a serious infection.

Interviewed by Wrestling Inc. in January 2020, 'Hacksaw' claimed that he was doing well but had lost around 40lbs in weight:-

“I’m doing great but I had a few health issues last year. I listened to my doctor and I’ve dropped about 40 pounds and am doing much better. I just turned 66 and I joke that Flair and Hogan still call me ‘kid’. Jake [Roberts] says he’s younger but I wanna see a birth certificate."

Duggan wrestled for the then-WWF and WCW throughout the '80s, '90s, and '00s, having made his name as a headlining star for Bill Watts' Mid-South Wrestling prior to that. His final WWE run concluded in 2012.
