Wrestling Legend 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan Recovering From Emergency Surgery
Former WWE and WCW star 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan is on the mend following a health scare, thankfully.
Worry swept across the wrestling community with yesterday afternoon's news that the legendary 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan was in hospital for emergency surgery, but it looks like the former WWE and WCW star is back on the mend.
Duggan's wife, Debra, posted the following on Jim's Twitter account, asking fans to pray for him ahead of a procedure:-
Back where we don't want to be. Please pray for Jim and his doctors as he has emergency surgery this morning. Thank you, Debra pic.twitter.com/U7DmqIgE3U

Another tweet followed a few hours later, featuring 'Hacksaw' flashing a big thumbs up after going under the knife, with everything seemingly going well:-
Out of surgery and back in his room. Everything went well. Thank you for your prayers, good vibes and good thoughts. You can keep them coming in. pic.twitter.com/gPUWI4N6Wq

All the best to Jim as he recovers.
Duggan, 67, has suffered a number of health scares over the past few years, including an atrial fibrillation issue in late 2018 that necessitated heart surgery in March 2019. He was also forced to undergo two procedures in 24 hours later that year after contracting a serious infection.
Interviewed by Wrestling Inc. in January 2020, 'Hacksaw' claimed that he was doing well but had lost around 40lbs in weight:-
“I’m doing great but I had a few health issues last year. I listened to my doctor and I’ve dropped about 40 pounds and am doing much better. I just turned 66 and I joke that Flair and Hogan still call me ‘kid’. Jake [Roberts] says he’s younger but I wanna see a birth certificate."
Duggan wrestled for the then-WWF and WCW throughout the '80s, '90s, and '00s, having made his name as a headlining star for Bill Watts' Mid-South Wrestling prior to that. His final WWE run concluded in 2012.
