Wrestling fans sometimes run the risk of taking their beloved "sports entertainment" a little too seriously. Amid all the dirtsheet gossip and backstage politics, it's easy to get wrapped up in heated online debates and social media tirades. Sometimes it's worth taking a step back and enjoying wrestling for what it really is: a peculiar pop-culture circus in which muscular living cartoons wear skimpy spandex and pretend to fight one another. What it is: A thrice-weekly (on a good week) webcomic that lampoons professional wrestling with adeptly drawn visuals and some pretty clever zingers. The comic usually sets its sights on the current foibles of WWE, but also chronicles the misadventures of Olav Orlav (an old-timey wrestler with ever older-timey viewpoints) and Rad Bad Debone (a green and optimistic newbie). Artist James Hornby earns kudos both for his artistic skills and his sharp wit. Why it's funny: Drawings that are both simple and spot-on accurate, with punchy and well-written dialogue. CM Punk in his tightie-whities and Randy Orton unsuccessfully trying to RKO inanimate objects -- what's not to like? You'll enjoy it if: You grew up reading the Saturday morning funnies and then watching Saturday afternoon wrestling.A few examples:
