Superstars come and go within the WWE. Names such as Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin will never be forgotten for the positive impact they had on the industry, while names such as Gobbledy Gooker and The Shockmaster shall be remembered for the fact that nobody really wants to remember how bad they were. Often, a talented wrestler ends up with a gimmick that gives them no chance of ever showing the crowd how good they could be. The 90s were a prime example of that, particularly in the Attitude Era. Although the Attitude Era is hailed as the time that not only presented the best television show, but the era that created the best wrestlers, even the untouchable WWE made mistakes. However, the noughties (2000-2009) arguably saw the creation of some of the best (and worst) gimmicks that WWE has ever seen. It's easy to remember the best, such as Stone Cold Steve Austin's playful, singing side or the birth of "The Rated R Superstar", Edge. There are many fans would like to erase from history, such as Eugene or The Boogeyman. Beyond all of those, there are that select group of wrestlers who had their run in the noughties that had the adoration of the fans but are vaguely remembered today. While some of the wrestlers in this list have had or have gone on to have success either with different gimmicks or other companies, they deserve to be remembered for what they brought to WWE during what could be considered the company's transition period. Here are the top 10 superstars from 2000-2009 that shone (for the right or wrong reasons) during their time or a particular gimmick in the WWE, but are forgotten about today...
