Arguably the most exciting pay-per-view of the year is almost here and the names are already starting to rack up as to who will be the main briefcase holder. Rumour has it that there will be only one Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight championship.Recent reports talk about why the future could be bright for Cesaro;
While no one has been officially decided as the winner this year, the front-runner is said to be Cesaro. Cesaro has been set for a big singles push and is soon to become the #3 babyface in the company behind John Cena and Daniel Bryan. If he wins the Money in the Bank match, he would likely go on to successfully cash in and become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
The Swiss Superman seems to be the likely choice, but other superstars will enter the fray. Eight of them are serious contenders, while one is a wild card and the other is way out of Wrigley Field (hint.. hint). Stephanie McMahon came out on Monday Night Raw and made a decision on the future of the WWE World Heavyweight championship. If Bryan is healthy, he will face Kane in a Stretcher match for the title and the MITB match will remain the same. If he isn't healthy and cannot compete, the MITB match will be for the vacated WWE World Heavyweight championship. As for his injury, a new report came out last night updating the WWE Universe on his condition.
The original hope was for Daniel Bryan to be ready to return at the Money in the Bank PPV. WWE then received word over the weekend that Bryan may not be cleared in time to compete at the event. On May 15th, Bryan had a procedure on his neck called "a cervical foraminotomy". For most, recovery time is said to be eight to ten weeks.
The show will be at the six-week mark. In that case, it would take a miracle for Bryan to come back healthy enough for a Stretcher match, especially against the Demon Kane. Money in the Bank is only a month away and the debate for who will be the next briefcase holder or new champion. It will be a much bigger match due to the fact that only one belt is in existence. Looking back at the MITB matches, a few with eight superstars were much better than the split matches with only six. These 10 superstars have a shot at winning the Money in the Bank ladder match, starting with someone who recently got "buried," but is looking for a way to rise back to the top. He would like to have the "whole world in his hands," once again.
