In the world of WWE in the year 2012, holding one of the main Heavyweight Championships is something a good number of the roster can say they have achieved. Many of the current Main Event Superstars can boast multiple reigns of these Championships to boot, despite still being in the relatively early years of their careers in the Squared Circle. There was a time when the biggest prize in Sports Entertainment didn't change hands so freely. For many years, there would only be one or two names who held the gold over the span of 365 day plus period. The notion of somebody who had held the title opening a show was unheard of, let alone the idea of a major Championship contest being the first billed match on the card. Due to the times, there were many Legends, Hall of Famers and names synonymous with Professional Wrestling that never held the richest prize in the business.
