WWE Announce "Superstar Spectacle" India Special For Later This Month
"WWE Superstar Spectacle" will land on screens during January 26's Indian Republic Day.
According to Sony Sports Network India, WWE will bring the 'Superstar Spectacle' India special to TV on Indian Republic Day (Jan 26).
Towards the end of last year, it was reported that WWE were set to bring an NXT style programme to India, a series which would likely kick off with a one or two-night event, much like the British version of the original black and gold show did with its United Kingdom Championship tournament in January 2017.
Now, it appears the show has found its name in the form of 'WWE Superstar Spectacle', with WWE India announcing the event on their Instagram alongside the caption, "Breaking Now: The first-ever #WWESuperstarSpectacle is coming soon. #StayTuned #India".
POST Wrestling also reported that an "India Special' was spotted on the company's internal calendar a while back, with the event set to be shot on January 22. Since WWE India posted the graphic for the upcoming special, HeelByNature.com have tweeted out a promotional teaser for the event which looks set to air on January 26.
As of writing, there's still no news on exactly which stars will be appearing on this upcoming new show. Yet, the advertisement seems to hint at former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and The Bollywood Boyz, along with a number of other current WWE talents, all making appearances at the event.
