The likely majority amongst you who took the brief promotional considerations between the WWE Hall of Fame 2018's excessively enervating speeches as a much needed opportunity to make a fresh brew, relieve the last one, or take a well-advised power nap, may have missed the video package announcing some very intriguing shows coming to the Network later this year.

The commercial (below) revealed that a second annual Mae Young Classic, a UK-centric rebranding of the King of the Ring, and Bruce Prichard's 'Something to Wrestle' podcast are all set for the on demand service later in 2018. Brand new WWE 24 documentaries were also announced, amongst them features on Ronda Rousey and AJ Styles, as well as the excellently titled WWE 24: Raw 25, which absolutely does not sound like a football score.

The precise dates of the two tournaments is not yet known. The first Mae Young classic - won by NXT's Kairi Sane - was aired between 28 August and 12 September last year; one would expect similar dates for the sequel. Traditionally, WWE's King of the Ring was held in June, though it has taken place in April, July, and September. Once, it was even in November, which is right out.

The trail also promised a special called 'Elias: Unplugged', which is probably something to do with acoustic music, and not the songster's attempt to go Amish for a week.
