The WWE summer hype train rolls through July's Battleground PPV and this past Sunday's affair was a mixed one. It felt a little too much like an extremely loaded episode of Raw than a PPV at times but with that said, there were some great take away moments. Some were fleeting moments of greatness, others telling foreshadowing for the coming year, most significantly next month's annual Summerslam. Battleground 2014 was a night where the undercard shone for the first time in a long time, whilst the main event scene felt a little like it was in a holding pattern, waiting for the bigger event next month. Still, the guys who usually don't get their due got an opportunity to shine and shine they did. We had some outstanding action from unlikely places and emphasis places on sections of the product that are at other times seemingly neglected. Now if the WWE could combine both the main event hype for the big shows with the hard working entertainment factor of the undercard matches on the B pay-per-view shows like Battleground, we'd have a real return to form. Here are the ten moments from Sunday's PPV that make us think that's still possible.
