WWE Confirm Injured Fandango Will Miss 6 Months
Breezango star set for shoulder surgery following torn labrum.
Raw Superstar Fandango could miss six months after suffering a labrum tear on his left shoulder, according to WWE.com.
The Breezango man teased the news with a cryptic tweet on Sunday morning. This sent the rumour mill spiralling, with follow-ups from Brian 'Road Dogg' James and Tyler Breeze strengthening the speculation.
There's currently no word on how or when the torn labrum was sustained, but Fandango hasn't worked a match since 25 June's Main Event taping. Whatever the case, the 36-year-old now faces a long, gruelling recovery process, having suffered the same injury that sidelined Finn Bálor for seven months following his Universal Title victory.
Fandango and tag partner Tyler Breeze joined Raw in April's Superstar Shake-Up. They've been used sparingly on the red brand, working only a handful of televised bouts since crossing over, and had seemingly slotted into an enhancement role on Main Event.
The duo's peak likely came last year, when their 'Fashion Police' act got over huge on Tuesday nights, earning them two SmackDown Tag Title shots in May. It remains to be seen what WWE will do with Breeze in his partner's absence, but this could be bad news for both.
