The story that refuses to die rumbles as on, as the status of WWE Crown Jewel (AKA Schrödinger's Wrestling Show) remains questionable, with the promotion failing to deliver on talk of a final decision yesterday.

We're still no closer to an official announcement, but there are a couple of updates to report. First, Dave Meltzer has claimed on his subscriber message board that the decision on whether or not Crown Jewel will take place in Saudi Arabia is entirely out of WWE's hands, and will be up to the U.S. State Department, adding that Vince McMahon would never decide to switch locations on his own.

Meltzer's colleague, Bryan Alvarez, has also pointed out that the pay-per-view's location now reads "null, null" on WWE's official mobile app:-

The above is still the case at the time of writing.

On top of this, Reddit user ChrisBarker93 has pointed out that if you Google "Manchester Arena events," the results list an unnamed WWE show on 3 November. There are no live events currently announced for that date, so could this be a sign that the company have pre-emptively booked the building as a new location?

Here's hoping WWE's official confirmation isn't far away.
