WWE Draft 2020: 10 Wrestlers Who Must NOT Move Brands
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
The WWE landscape is positioned as an ever-changing construct designed to make us believe that - as the old saying goes - anything can happen in World Wrestling Entertainment, but the truth is that it could use a little more change throughout the year, because things tend to grow stale quite quickly. That's one of the reasons that the impending return of the annual WWE Draft is very welcome.
The superstars of Raw and SmackDown will be exchanged by the-powers-that-be in the hopes that it will reinvigorate both the red and blue brands, paving the way for new storylines and interactions between performers that we haven't seen before.
The draft is a wonderful thing because, when used right, it can accomplish that and more. That being said, in spite of how much of a refresher both brands need right now, there are a few select superstars who should not be jumping ship to the other brand.
Yes, not everyone needs a fresh start so, whether it be down to an ongoing storyline or a newly-won championship, let's take a look at some superstars who must stay put following the WWE Draft.
10. John Morrison
Re-teaming John Morrison with The Miz so that he could be reintroduced to modern audiences was a great idea on WWE's part and it culminated beautifully in a show-stealing turn for JoMo when his solo effort scored the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 36. That run has significantly stagnated in the months that have followed but that doesn't mean he should be moved to Raw.
Aside from his singles run as Johnny Nitro back in 2006, Morrison's best moments have always been on SmackDown. He is, after all, the Friday Night Delight.
Nicknames aside, however, it would be foolish to move him to another brand when he is yet to experience a proper singles run since returning to company. And if creative still isn't ready for that just yet, the SmackDown tag team division is in need of some star-power. So maybe, y'know, actually put Miz and Morrison back in it and drop the whole Otis malarkey?
Either way, Morrison needs to stay blue.
