Former WWE tag team champion Evan Bourne returned to action this week at a NXT house show in Tampa, Florida defeating the man formerly known as El Generico a.k.a. Sammy Sane. Bourne, who has had been missing in action for over a year following a sixty day wellness violation from the use of synthetic weed a.k.a. "spice" and a subsequent car crash that broke his ankle in five places. The St. Louis native has since been rehabbing the injury and finally reappeared last night and it should be interesting to see how the company uses him going forward. Considering the current state of Mysterio and Sin Cara, Evan Bourne would really standout on the roster right now. However, it should be noted that he does have two strikes for the wellness violation and one more would lead to termination. So unless the St. Louis native has changed his ways he could be gone just as quickly as he returned as WWE may be trepidations on pushing the highflyer considering his rather lackadaisical past with company guidelines. Only time will tell though as I would imagine WWE will evaluate these prospects going forward and whether he'll soar again on Raw or Smackdown anytime soon.
