Barricade? What barricade?

'Awesome Moments' from a WWE pay-per-view aren't all high spots, you know. Sometimes, it's match outcomes or sheer atmosphere that send goosebumps shooting across the arm or that old familiar shiver tingling up your spine. Although Extreme Rules wasn't as jam-packed as some other shows have been, it had its moments.

Maybe it was death-defying leaps of faith from a nostalgic daredevil, or perhaps seeing one of WWE's best heels of this generation pay homage to a fallen legend is more your thing. Whatever your poison, Raw's latest supershow slice tried to have it covered.

There were some literal 'Extreme' moments in there too, so let's just hope that WWE don't take such a verbatim approach for their next PPV offering. Goodness gracious, Great Balls Of Fire may be a silly name, but the show might be saved by the ascension of one thick, rugged Samoan.

Don't worry, it isn't Roman Reigns...

8. The Miz Tries To Channel Eddie Guerrero

The Miz is, quite simply, the best heel WWE have on their books right now. Heels cheat, and few do that better than the guy other roster members once made get changed in the hallway a decade ago. At Extreme Rules, Miz even payed tribute to Eddie Guerrero, so his detractors can keep quiet for now.

Looking to exploit the fact that he'd become Intercontinental Champion if Dean Ambrose was disqualified, Miz had his wife Maryse plant a slap right on his jaw in plain view of the referee. When that didn't work, he even tried throwing Ambrose into the ref. That John Cone, what's he like? Forever tumbling out of rings.

Seriously though, this was terrific heel work from Miz. The slap in particular was great, because it showed that a dirtbag like Miz would stoop to any depths in order to win. Again, heels cheat, and they should be willing to do it all if it scores them titles. "Lie, Cheat and Steal", just like Guerrero in his prime.
