WWE Files For Bizarre New Trademark

WWE has filed a trademark application for the term "Wobbly Walrus."
Yes, Wobbly bloody Walrus.
Lord knows what they're thinking here, though PWInsider were first to report on the matter. The filing relates to "entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service," toys and accessories, and clothing.
There's no word on what, exactly, the promotion is planning to do with Wobbly Walrus, though it could really be anything from a new line of toys to a cruel nickname for one its televised performers. Paul Heyman was once handed the demeaning 'Walrus' nickname and recently returned to prominence on SmackDown, so there's something to crew on.
Wobbly Walrus could also have something to do with the new "friend" Bray Wyatt is bringing to his Firefly Fun House on this week's episode of SmackDown. The name certainly sounds dumb enough to fit into that wacky universe, so we'll have to find out on Friday. 'The Fiend,' Mercy the Buzzard, and Ramblin' Rabbit could soon be sharing screentime with a big lump of blubber and tusks.
