WWE this past week filed a trio of new trademarks describing the nicknames of three of their biggest stars. [h/t Heel By Nature]

On Tuesday, the company petitioned to have "The Big Dog, "The Goddess" and "The Queen" trademarked for "use in entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances".

The three terms are, of course, associated with Roman Reigns, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair respectively. All have been part of WWE's parlance for some years now, so it is somewhat surprising (particularly in the case of the non-generic 'Big Dog' moniker) that they have only been trademarked now.

The full (and dreary) trademark classification is as follows:

International Class 041: Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment

'Big Dog' Reigns will take Drew McIntyre at this Sunday's Survivor Series, whilst 'Goddess' Alexa Bliss is currently tied up with The Fiend. WWE's 'Queen', Charlotte, has been absent from TV since July, though she was shifted to Raw during the recent draft.
