WWE has a backup plan in mind for Bray Wyatt and Bobby Lashley's jeopardised WrestleMania 39 match, which currently isn't expected to go ahead due to the former's health concerns.

Wyatt and Lashley had been heading for a 'Mania bout up until recently. Bray had set his sights on the winner of Bobby and Brock Lesnar's Elimination Chamber 2023, which turned out to be Lashley via disqualification. The duo then spent a couple of weeks building to something for WrestleMania, though the clash was never formally announced. Now, Wyatt has vanished from television.

This is reportedly due to undisclosed health concerns, though there were rumours of Bray walking out of the promotion due to creative issues.

The former Fiend's questionable status appeared to leave Lashley high and dry when it came to 'Mania. Now, however, WrestleVotes and GiveMeSport have reported that a backup plan is in place, with WWE keen to keep Lashley on the WrestleMania 39 card.

WrestleVotes states that plans called for Lashley to work with LA Knight in some capacity. Knight doesn't have a match on the card, but is expected to be involved with a segment.

Later, WrestleVotes tweeted that Knight vs. Lashley isn't currently planned, though it has been discussed:-
