The opening contest was definitely one to get the pulses racing as Randy Orton battled against Alberto Del Rio. Orton hasn't looked anywhere near as dominant as he did last year in terms of constant victories, but with regards to consistent match performance he continues to produce the goods. And detractors can say what they like about Del Rio, but he can put on a hell of a performance with virtually anybody in that ring. It was an excellent match, with plenty of back and forth action. Del Rio continued to focus his attention on Orton's arm, whilst Orton would launch into comebacks and hit all his signature moves, with Ricardo Rodriguez a threat on the outside. But the finish was the real standout moment of this match. Orton was able to force his way out of the cross-arm breaker, and when Del Rio attempted to hit his jumping enziguri in the corner, Orton caught him with the RKO in mid-air. Orton has done that move when an opponent has been in the air before, but his finisher is so sudden and can come out of nowhere, which provided a great prop from the fans.
