WWE Insider: Vince McMahon's Erratic Behaviour Explained
Is the boss finally cracking up?
A WWE insider has confessed that Vince McMahon's recent SmackDown appearance reflects what he's been like over 'the last 2 weeks', according to a conversation with WrestleVotes.
The WWE Chairman made a surprise appearance on the last episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX, a show which was dedicated to his son-in-law Triple H's 25th anniversary in the company.
McMahon cut a promo which included surreal references to the likes of the Gobbledy Gooker, Katie Vick and Bayley's 'This is Your Life' segment.
Fans seem to be split on whether or not this was his insane Mr. McMahon character ramped up to eleven or this was a sign that the WWE Chairman had legitimately lost the plot.
We now have some clarification on the matter, as a WWE source reportedly spoke to WrestleVotes and stated, 'That is what he’s been like the last 2 weeks or so I’m seeing. Think this (global situation), Mania cancelled, XFL getting killed has finally got to him and he’s at the ‘f*ck it’ part of it all. ‘Screw it Vince’ could be wild.'
McMahon has had quite a couple of weeks, with WrestleMania 36's stadium show being scrapped, the XFL folding, being sued by the former XFL CEO & Commissioner and receiving consistent backlash for his decision to fire a gluttony of talent in the thick of the current global situation.
Will we see the WWE Chairman appear on television again in the near future? Or will this odd appearance be his last for quite some time?
