This week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that WWE are interested in signing AAA star Humberto Garza III, who has competed for the organization under the names Garza Jr. and El Hijo del Ninja. At only 23 years of age, Garza is already a veteran, having been working as a pro since November of 2008. Garza recently made it to the semifinals of the annual Rey de Reyes tournament, and he's also vied for AAA's World Trios Title. He's already worked with alumni from WWE, having competed in tag matches with Rey Mysterio, Jr. and Alberto del Rio. Garza's father and grandfather have worked for Mexico's most prestigious promotions, but his most successful relative was his uncle, AAA Hall of Famer Hector. Hector Garza was one of the founding members of ultra-popular CMLL stable Los Perros del Mal, remaining with the group until his death in 2013. Humberto's in-ring style has been compared to that of his uncle, who had his own foray into U.S. wrestling with tenures in WCW and TNA. Garza is expected to attend a WWE tryout camp in the near future.
