WWE has launched a cease and desist against Illinois-based indie group Freelance Wrestling.

This first came to light when Mikey Blanton, who runs Black Label Pro, tweeted the following on Tuesday:-

This article's header image shows both logos side by side, with the In Your House design a clear influence on In Our Warehouse. Freelance is yet to comment on the matter.

An interesting facet of this is that current WWE star Mustafa Ali was once an ace-like figure in Freelance, having worked extensively for his old home promotion before inking with Vince McMahon's company after the Cruiserweight Classic in 2016. Ali has stayed true to his roots throughout his WWE tenure, regularly supporting Freelance in several different forms, with this plug being the most recent example:-

As you can see from the above, Freelance has rechristened this empty arena event "Warehouse Wars" shows the cease and desist in full effect. The show is designed to raise money for out-of-pocket wrestlers at this incredibly difficult time and will stream live on IWTV.live this Saturday evening.

Ali has already promised to donate enough money to cover all the wrestlers' pay for Warehouse Wars. Anyone wishing to help out can find the relevant information at FreelanceWrestling.com.
