WWE Legend Announced For Monday's Raw After Near-2 Year Absence
Monday's Raw will feature this "special guest appearance" from a WWE Hall Of Famer.
Jerry Lawler is slated to make his first WWE Raw appearance in almost two years on Monday's broadcast.
The WWE Hall Of Famer is being touted as a "special guest" for the flagship, but there's no word on what the 'King' will be doing in Cleveland. It is, however, worth noting that Lawler spent part of his childhood living in the city, and he's a huge fan of Cleveland sports teams like the Indians, Browns and Cavaliers.
Maybe they're just going with a cheap pop and some MLB/NFL/NBA references?
Jerry could be on commentary too, of course. That was his bread and butter in the company for decades, after all, and it's not like it'd hurt to have him behind the desk for a match or two. Sure, Lawler's jokes are crummier than gluten free chocolate chip cookies, but it makes sense to take advantage of his skills whilst he's in town.
The other option is having a heel attack the Hall Of Famer to heap some heat on them. That's a tried-and-tested method when it comes to the 'King' these days. Perhaps it'll happen again. The 'Fiend', anyone?
Only kidding.
