You know, there are certain times as a professional wrestling fan where you are left scratching your head at certain decisions the WWE makes with its characters. This week's Main Event was definitely one of those times as the United States champion Antonio Césaro yodeled. Now I understand it, he is Swiss, and it was used to get heat. I just hope it doesn't become that one characteristic that the company plans to push down your throat. Much like Nikolai Volkoff in the 80s with his version of the Russian national anthem. Who knows maybe it will lead to him using the Ricola bomb as his finisher again? All that aside, I thought Antonio did another masterful job in his match with Kane using great psychology and ingenuity to get around some of the limitations of the older performer the Big Red Machine. I thought Daniel Bryan also did a excellent job on commentary getting over how dominating Big E Langston is just before their match at Wrestlemania and how important it is for Kane to survive this match healthy. That's what good commentary is meant to do Not rip your opponent Build them up so they look formidable, so they look like your equal instead of a jobber. That's a lost art these days. The only thing that didn't work in my opinion, was the AJ run in which I get it, but it just comes off as stupid booking when she tries to interfere and it doesn't affect the outcome of the match keeping Kane and Daniel Bryan victorious. It should affect them in some way, but it never does. And it just seems like they're throwing her out there for no reason. Maybe this Monday on Raw, she will attempt this and Kaitlyn will clotheslined her and give her the spear leading to their match, I hope at Wrestlemania 29. These two women deserve a spot on the biggest show of the year. We hear comments from Sheamus basically bridging the gap saying he's on board and that sheep will not fly out of his ass for not trusting The Big Show spurring from comments last week.. I said this last week and I really mean it. I think Sheamus is getting ready for heel turn, which I think at this point he desperately, desperately needs. And then we have divas action as Cameron and Naomi along with the newly named Tons of Funk, Brodus and Sweet T to battle the returning to the ring Bella twins with Team Rhodes Scholars at their side before their eight person encounter at Wrestlemania 29. The match itself was very strong for a divas encounter as all for women worked really hard in making good tag team psychology and I must say this, the Bellas really picked up where they left off. Nikki or Brie and did a camel clutch spider style using the ropes that looks pretty cool. All in all everything was strong on the Cameron and Naomi side showing great improvement from the background booty shakers. The only thing that was a little week was the finish as it seems like the end roll up getting the Bellas victory seemed a little awkward and was not as solid. All that said, a pretty good match nonetheless. Minus the repeat video packages from Raw and some Antonio getting his goat herder on this is a pretty good episode of the Main Event to check out.
