WWE Making Major Changes To Network Documentaries?

"Outside interest" forcing a huge strategic change for WWE's streaming service?

WWE could be completely rethinking how they air their Network documentaries, per reports from PWInsider.

Their sources have suggested that WWE could be trying to sell their most recent unaired pieces elsewhere before dropping them on the in-house over-the-top service. The report makes mention of features on Lex Luger, Vladimir The Superfan and The Nexus that are either completed or being worked on that haven't yet seen the light of day on the $9.99 platform. September saw no new additions to the selection other than the piece on SmackDown's post-9/11 episode.

There has been talk within the company in recent weeks that the docs may be getting shopped around to see about outside interest for them on other streaming or broadcast networks. A&E seems to make the most sense given how successful the WWE Biography specials were over the summer, but we have been unable to confirm 100% that any talks are ongoing, just that WWE is interested in exploring that strategy.

It concluded by noting that October 21st's Crown Jewel is the only current WWE special listed internally on Peacock at present, though WWE have been known to surprise subscribers with random drops in the past.
