Well, wasn't that a weird one?

Anyone wondering how WWE's Royal Rumble would play out without a live crowd to roar it on got their answer on Sunday night. Instead of those timeless 10-0 countdowns coming from an exhilarated audience, the company piped them in. Meanwhile, largely expressionless faces (aside from a few earlier in the card) watched on a minor delay via the ThunderDome LED screens.

It was as weird as it sounds, but nothing could stop Edge's emotions from bubbling over when he was announced as the Rumble winner. Indeed, the legend looked every bit as torn up as he did during his memorable return on last year's card.

The 2021 men's Rumble lacked Brock Lesnar's domination and Drew McIntyre's moment, but Edge's victory made up for that. Plus, WWE brought back some old favourites to help round out the field of 30 - every single one of them played their role well, and a few might even stick around during WrestleMania season.

Here's how every elimination happened in the men's match. How each wrestler hit the floor and who tossed them out will be included...

30. Jeff Hardy

Hands up who had Jeff Hardy down as the first elimination?

Not many, let's be honest. It happened though - Jeff was dumped out seconds after Dolph Ziggler entered the match as #6. Michael Cole then pointed out that Ziggler was entering his 14th Rumble match, which puts him second on the list behind Kane (who's now on 19 after showing up here; 20 if one includes his time as Isaac Yankem).
