WWE Money In The Bank 2020: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
From mediocre filler to WWE Title killer.
For better and for worse, this year's Money in the Bank will certainly go down in history as one of the most memorable editions in the PPV's history.
Predictably, the law of diminishing returns is already in effect with WWE's cinematic-style matches introduced in WrestleMania last month, even if the dual main events offered just enough absurdity to entertain.
To the surprise of nobody, the undercard was a wildly mixed bag from mediocre to occasionally great. Though there weren't any one-star duds to be seen, much of the card ultimately felt pretty irrelevant, compounded by the total lack of title changes.
Still, the outcome of the men's Money in the Bank match did nothing if not get people talking. Though it's understandable why many fans are frustrated with the result, fingers are crossed that maybe, just maybe, WWE actually does something interesting and unexpected with it.
Was it a great night of wrestling? Certainly not, but the pacing was snappy, it didn't outstay its welcome, and more often than not it embraced the silliness, which is surely what we all need right now...
8. R-Truth Vs. Bobby Lashley
Result: Lashley murders Truth with a Spear for the easy win (1:40).
Rating: Nothing in this match was more entertaining than Truth's hilarious entrance to a totally empty arena, that's for sure.
Nobody cared about this one, so few could complain that it was turned into more of a skit than an actual wrestling match. Truth was entertainingly silly as usual, while Lashley got an appropriately snappy steamroll victory.
This probably should've been on the kickoff show rather than Hardy-Cesaro, though. Nobody's going to argue that this was anything but a bad match, but it got to the point quickly and the pre-fight nonsense was mildly amusing. 3/10
