WWE NXT Tag Team Titles Relinquished Following Nash Carter Release
New NXT Tag Team Champions are set to be crowned on this week's episode of 2.0.
The NXT Tag Team Championships have been officially relinquished.
In the wake of Nash Carter's well documented release from the company earlier this week on the back of impersonating Adolf Hitler's moustache and Nazi salute in a photograph posted by his wife, Kimber Lee - who also accused her partner of domestic abuse against her over the past few days - many had wondered what the future held for the NXT tag title straps.
Some light has now been shed on the matter as WWE have officially made the decision to take the belts away from Carter and his tag partner Wes Lee via press release. The titles will now be seemingly up for grabs on the latest edition of the developmental show. But no official match or direction for this new crowning has been revealed as of writing.
It had already been confirmed that Grayson Waller and Sanga would challenge MSK for the straps on the upcoming edition of NXT 2.0. So, whether or not WWE allow Lee to find a new partner to fight for the belts with or another new duo is thrown into the mix on Tuesday night remains to be seen.
MSK only recently won the titles for the second time at last weekend's Stand and Deliver event, defeating Imperium for the championships.
