WWE has officially announced that August 2020's international tour of Australia and New Zealand has been postponed.

TEG Dainty, the promoter in charge of events in Melbourne (6 August), Sydney (7 August) and Auckland (8 August) released a press note stating that the shows wouldn't go ahead as planned due to ongoing uncertainty over the global health crisis.

This, in fairness, was a logical move.

Below is a full transcript of TEG Dainty's press release.

To the WWE Universe of Australia and New Zealand,We thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work with WWE to secure our new return dates. The superstars of Monday Night RAW can’t wait to get back and put on one hell of a show for you in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. In the meantime, let’s keep safe, look after each other and we’ll be back with new details very soon.TEG Dainty.

WWE has also moved all of its May 2020 dates in the UK to October. It's interesting that they expect to be running shows in front of fans by then, but can't commit to dates in August quite yet.

More postponements are expected.
