WWE Postpones Upcoming Canadian Tour

Full details on WWE scrapping an upcoming run of shows in Canada in January 2022.

WWE has postponed what would have been its first batch of TV tapings in Canada since February 2020.

The promotion was due to travel north for a run of events in January 2022, including a SmackDown taping in Winnipeg on the 21st and Raw in Edmonton on the 24th. These dates have now been replaced with shows in the United States: SmackDown has been relocated to Nashville, and Raw to Toledo.

Two live events sandwiched between SmackDown and Raw have also been moved to the US.

WWE has issued the following update on the rescheduled Canadian dates:-

The WWE Friday Night SmackDown live event scheduled for January 21, 2022 at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg has been rescheduled to Friday, September 30.

The WWE Supershow live event scheduled for January 22, 2022 at the Brandt Centre in Regina has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 1.

The WWE Supershow live event scheduled for January 23, 2022 at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon has been rescheduled and will now be WWE Live on Sunday, October 2.

The WWE Monday Night Raw live event scheduled for January 24, 2022 at Rogers Place in Edmonton has been rescheduled to Monday, September 26.

Tickets are currently on sale through Ticketmaster.ca and all originally purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates.

No reason has been given for the postponements.

The Raw and SmackDown shows would have been WWE's first in Canada in close to two years, having last run a taping there on 24 February 2020. International travel, including the short trip over the border to Canada, has been hindered by the persisting COVID-19 pandemic.
