WWE Hall Of Famer Sean Waltman told Wrestling Inc that the company plans to produce a documentary on events surrounding 9/11 later this year.

The doc will specifically focus on the 13 September 2001 episode of SmackDown - that was the first "public assembly" following horrific terrorist attacks on New York. There, Vince McMahon spoke passionately about the United States and claimed his wrestlers wanted to try and entertain people as best they could.

Waltman said he "sat down for some talking head stuff" following a recent appearance on WWE's The Bump. WWE doubled up on the interview by having Sean sign some trading cards and film other comments for upcoming content.

That 9/11 film was the only one he specifically mentioned though.

X-Pac said he has "vivid memories" of being there for the post-9/11 SmackDown taping, but he didn't fear a follow-up terrorist attack in Houston at the show. In fact, Waltman's only concern (like many others) was getting back to some sense of normality and trying to ease the pain of those who had suffered loss.

This could be one to keep an eye on.
