WWE's talent acquisition efforts have rarely been as aggressive as they are today, with the promotion actively seeking out the global scene's biggest and brightest in the face of increased competition from the likes of New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor.

Per Dave Meltzer in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this looks set to continue over the coming months. He writes that WWE have scheduled medicals for another batch of new talent in mid-November, with the idea being that these wrestlers would debut sometime in January, and a couple of major names might be in their number.

WWE are apparently pursuing what Meltzer describes as "two of the top workers in the business." He doesn't mention any specific names but notes that they're both "significant stars in major league companies," and that their respective contractual situations might make January impossible.

The likes of Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Cody, and Hangman Page have all been linked with WWE heavily over the past few months. Meltzer's words are entirely speculative, but will almost certainly lead to these same names again, though Cody denied he was going back to WWE during last week's Jericho cruise.
