Madcap Moss is no more!

The former funnyman has reverted back to "Riddick Moss" as his wrestling name, some two years after updating it in line with his alliance with Happy Corbin. That partnership fizzled in 2022, but Moss kept the 'Madcap' moniker as he attempted to work his way back up the ranks on SmackDown.

"Riddick Moss" was the third but longest-standing tag for Moss, who started life as Digg Rawlis in 2014 before switching to Mike Rawlis before finally landing on something that stuck. He debuted on the main roster in 2020, working on the undercard before permanently switching to the "Madcap" gimmick on an October 9th 2021 house show.

Most recently, Moss has been on a losing streak despite linking up on-screen with real life girlfriend Tenille "Emma" Dashwood. It looked as though he might be embodying a narcissistic persona ahead of WrestleMania, but that detail was quietly dropped as the two continued to eat Ls. The name change could just be to shed any last remnants of his old personality once and for all, or could be indicative of something more as the entire roster gets set for the upcoming shake-up.
