Riddle appeared to drop a big old botch on last night's WWE Raw, seemingly forgetting his lines during a backstage segment with Asuka.

The United States and Raw Women's Champion caught up with each other in a random Tropicana Field corridor. After mentioning his upcoming WrestleMania 37 match with Sheamus, Riddle spoke about his scooter, asking Asuka if scooters are big in Japan.

That's when Riddle appeared to flub his lines:-

"Yeah, you think--... ha. I'm sorry, I forgot what I was saying."

Corpsing, the United States Champion hopped on his scooter and rode off into the distance, bringing the segment to a close, leaving Asuka looking perplexed.

In fairness, the nature of Riddle's dopey, weed-addled-but-don't-acknowledge-the-weed-it's-PG-pal character means this may well have been scripted, and WWE's obsession with scripting every word that comes out of the majority of its performers' mouths means the odd mistake every now and then can be forgiven. Still, it felt like a botch.

It is what it is. Live television is difficult.

Raw also saw Riddle lose a non-title match with Sheamus, though he ended up having the last laugh, knocking the Celtic Warrior out of the ring to close. The WrestleMania bout was made later in the evening.
