WWE Releases Drew Gulak
WWE has reportedly come to terms on Drew Gulak's release from contract.
PWInsider reports that WWE has come to terms on the release of Drew Gulak. The wrestler had been taken off TV over WrestleMania 40 weekend due to controversy stemming from allegations of inappropriate behaviour by Ronda Rousey.
Rousey claimed Gulak grabbed the string of her sweatpants as he walked past backstage when both were in the company several years ago. Later, Drew defended himself on social media by calling the incident a "complete accident" and a "mishap". He says he apologised to Ronda quickly.
Gulak had been with WWE since 2016. Originally, he was brought in as part of the Cruiserweight roster on 205 Live, but had earned high praise internally for helping to train incoming celebrities like Bad Bunny and Logan Paul for their first few matches after that.
Latterly, Drew had been on NXT, but he was written off TV during 'Mania season and hadn't returned. Now, he's been released from his contract alongside a number of other developmental/NXT workers.
This might not be the last wrestling fans hear from Gulak on the situation with Rousey, or on his WWE run generally.
