WWE Set To Offer Contracts To Several British Wrestlers?
Jimmy Havoc, Mark Haskins, and others could soon be on their way.
WWE's British expansion is well underway, and will continue with a UK tour in May. Before that, several of the brand's stars will compete in matches at WrestleMania Fan Axxess this week, and they'll be joined by a number of unsigned wrestlers.
Today's Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that said performers are being brought over to be offered contracts for WWE's UK brand. Though nothing is certain, it's thought that WWE are in a rushed state after news that ITV's World of Sport promotion is set to return, and the company are snapping-up as many Brits as possible.
Each of the new names are best known for their work in PROGRESS. Jimmy Havoc and Mark Haskins are both former PROGRESS Champions, and among the most popular wrestlers in the company. Toni Storm, Dahlia Black, Travis Banks, and TK Cooper all hail from New Zealand, but are extremely prominent in the UK, and Jinny, the final name, is considered one of Britain's fastest rising women's wrestlers.
If WWE complete these deals, they'll officially have the bulk of PROGRESS' roster under contract, with Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne, Trent Seven, Mark Andrews, Roy Johnson, and James Drake already among WWE's ranks.
