WWE SmackDown Spoilers Results (Aug 18)

A huge eight man tag main event plus Ryback vs. Big Show

By John Canton /

This week's Smackdown took place in Green Bay, Wisconsin and was the last major show before WWE SummerSlam this Sunday. Prior to Smackdown taking place, they did a dark match and also taped some matches for Main Event. The dark match for the local fans only saw Wisconsin native Hornswoggle defeat Heath Slater. That led to this tweet from Dolph Ziggler, who was obviously impressed with the match. https://twitter.com/HEELZiggler/status/633796169827643392 Here are the results from this week's Smackdown. Ryback took on Big Show in the opener and their match ended in a countout. They did a big spot where Ryback gave Show a clothesline that sent him through the barricade. It sounds like something that could be difficult to pull off. The New Day trio defeated Los Matadores and El Torito is a six man tag match. It ended when Big E nailed a big splash on the little person El Torito and then Xavier Woods got the pinfall win for his team. Dolph Ziggler and Lana were doing a promo that led to some kissing. Rusev showed up with Summer Rae to talk trash to them. They did their best to hype the Ziggler vs. Rusev match at SummerSlam with the crowd supporting Ziggler very well. Neville defeated Bo Dallas in a short match. After the match, Stardust and King Barrett were on the big screen talking about how they're going to beat Neville and his partner Stephen Amell. Team Bella did a promo talking about SummerSlam. They were interrupted by Team B.A.D., which led to an argument. Charlotte and Becky Lynch showed up leading to a divas match. Brie Bella defeated Sasha Banks and Bayley in a triple threat match when Brie pinned Lynch while grabbing the tights. There were promos by Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Cesaro the build up their SummerSlam matches. The main event was Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose & Cesaro teaming up to defeat Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Sheamus. Reports are that it was a great match that likely got a lot of time in order to build it up well. There was an exciting finish to the match with a lot of finishing moves being hit to get the crowd really excited. For the finish, Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on Harper for the win. The WWE Champion Seth Rollins was advertised for the show, but he was not there. Thanks to LOP for the results.
