G’day one and all and welcome to our now traditional round-up of all the balls, bluster and bizarrely believable reporting, ahead of WWE’s latest landmark event. Super Show-Down arrives in Melbourne this weekend and, frankly, absolutely nobody knows what to make of it yet.
Depending on your levels of cynicism it’s either a glorified house-show, orchestrated purely to get some traction in an “emerging” business territory that’ll generate some serious cash and offset plummeting TV ratings… or actually quite a big deal. Right now I am betwixt the two.
But with so much on offer here it’s nearly impossible not to suspect WWE have some surprises planned. We’re getting some huge matches - one of which we genuinely never thought we’d see - and it’s an important stop on the road of 2018’s booking. This could end up being the most important show since SummerSlam. Could.
