WWE: Triple H & Stephanie Having Bigger Roles

By John Canton /

There are two people that will be responsible for the future of WWE: Paul "Triple H" Levesque and his wife, Stephanie McMahon. While Stephanie's father Vince remains a huge part of WWE as the Chairman of the company, it's obvious that Triple H and Stephanie are having a bigger impact on the everyday happenings of the largest wrestling company in the world. A report from F4WOnline notes that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have taken on more of a leadership role within WWE over the past few weeks. Apparently they had more control than ever at WrestleMania XXX this year. Considering that Vince McMahon left WrestleMania XXX to go with Undertaker to the hospital shows that he has the utmost confidence in Hunter and Stephanie as well. The report states that Vince is still in charge and won't be stepping down any time soon, but there's a feeling of a transition period within WWE also. From a timing standpoint, it makes a lot of sense. Vince will turn 69 years old this year and he should start working less simply because it's a lot more difficult to keep a busy schedule at that age. Of course he's known as a workaholic that's in great shape, but at some point everybody has to slow down. Triple H deserves a lot of credit for what he's done as the guy that has been in charge of talent development the last few years. Look at how much NXT has grown in the last couple of years. Guys like Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose, Wyatt and Cesaro weren't even on the main roster a few years ago. Now they're near main event level players that are going to be a huge part of WWE going forward. The story also noted that Triple H was the one that informed WWE talents that the Ultimate Warrior passed away. Vince McMahon is reportedly very shaken up after the news. That's no surprise considering that Warrior had a rocky relationship with WWE for years only to reconcile these past few months. It's going to take years for Triple H's influence to really change WWE hopefully for the better, but the talent there should have a lot of faith in him because if you look at things right now the WWE product is a lot of fun to watch. Hopefully more younger talents continue to blossom as stars of the future while the veterans continue to have a major role in WWE going forward. The term "Reality Era" has been thrown around a lot lately by WWE. We could also call it the McMahon-Levesque Era since Triple H and his wife Stephanie are the two people that will steer the WWE ship forward for decades to come.
