The 2019 Royal Rumble was, in hindsight, a bit of an unexpected bomb.

The match went too long at 1:12:00, gave undue focus to a new and nervous Lacey Evans, made poor use of countless main roster regulars, undersold the surprise appearances and partially fumbled Becky Lynch's big moment.

In replacing Lana at the last second, 'The Man' punched her ticket for WrestleMania as decisively as Nia Jax had her face a few months earlier, but there was a rather unsatisfactory aftertaste to the entire thing. It doesn't need to be that way this year.

There is no banker victor in a must-win situation, even with several key favourites that'll all be featured here. No can't-miss creative prospect that WWE often do just that with, or no white hot star that threatens to have her flame doused by a badly booked battle royal. This of course is in part due to some of the failures of how the company has misused women on both Raw and SmackDown over the last 12 months, but there's nothing as straightforward as a Royal Rumble when it comes rectifying a course gone wrong...

30. Charlotte Flair

'The Queen' used her last Raw of the decade to advertise her first major act - she'll be in the 2020 Royal Rumble and look to go one better than her runners up spot from last year.
