WWE WrestleMania 36: 10 Most Likely Outcomes

The LONGEST WrestleMania of all time, and perhaps the most enjoyable too...

By Michael Patterson /

Whether or not you buy into WWE's annual promise of WrestleMania being the 'grandest stage of 'em all' doesn't really matter, because this year's installment is definitely going be the strangest of them all.

Without the expected 70, 000 people to watch them in Tampa's Raymond James Stadium due to what's happening in the world right now, the 'biggest event in sports-entertainment' will now emanate from the quaint setting of WWE's very own performance center in Orlando instead - where it will be watched by a grand total of zero people... y'know, aside from the millions (and millions) of fans watching around the world.

You certainly can't fault WWE, the creative team or the talent involved for bending over backwards to produce the Showcase of Immortals for fans in need of escapism during these trying times, but it will certainly set WrestleMania 36 apart from the thirty-five events that took place before it.

An event as, well, unlikely as this one makes it a little hard to call any likely outcomes, but there are qualities about WWE that manage to lace even the most uncertain elements with a layer of predictability.

10. It Will Be Gimmicky AF

A gimmicky WrestleMania isn't just likely, it's a certainty.

WWE was clearly very aware of the fact that a five-six hour event full of matches against the backdrop of the quiet hum of the Performance Center was not going to be an appealing watch for viewers, so they have took it upon themselves to throw everything at the wall (including ladders, boneyards and even a Firefly Funhouse) just to see what sticks. And with that, they've come up with the most gimmicky - and potentially even cinematic - WrestleMania of all time.

While we all love a gimmick match or two - when the situation calls for it, of course - this year's Showcase of Immortals is going to be full to the brim with mad, over-the-top concepts that could either be really good or really bad - but either way, are destined to be very, very entertaining.

You certainly can't fault their conviction in entertaining us, that's for sure.
