Around half of WWE's talent roster is dubious of CM Punk's recent personal changes being sustainable, or representative of who the newly-returned star truly is.

PWTorch's Wade Keller reports that when Punk spoke of WWE personnel being happy to see him and called his return to the company a "family reunion" during his Raw promo, he was broadly speaking the truth. Sources claimed that the 45-year-old seemed "humble" and "very nice" on his Raw return, having broken the internet at Survivor Series 2023.

Punk had returned to WWE with a reputation, given the nature of his 2014 release and that of his AEW sacking, which came one week after a backstage brawl with Jack Perry. Nonetheless, one of PWTorch's sources claimed that Punk appeared humbled.

But some wrestlers are sceptical of the situation. A source estimated that around half of WWE's roster was "iffy" on whether or not Punk's apparent changes are here to stay, or true to who he really is.

Nonetheless, Punk's first impression back in WWE has been largely positive. Keller called this "necessary" given Punk's checkered past and history of criticising the market-leading promotion since his departure nine years ago.
