WWE's Bayley Teases Fans On Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone Rumours
Mercedes Mone is expected to sign a deal with AEW soon, but...does WWE have other plans?!
WWE star Bayley knew exactly what she was doing when she addressed recent rumours surrounding Mercedes Mone/Sasha Banks during an interview with Sports Illustrated.
The Damage CTRL member (for now) told reporters that she and Mone "will always be destined for one more match". That statement comes amidst rumours that Mercedes is about to put pen to paper on a deal with AEW. There had been rumblings about a possible return to WWE as well.
WWE's Royal Rumble is coming up later this month, so there's a chance Bayley was just teasing fans by suggesting her old friend-turned-rival could make a grand return on the PLE. Wrestling fans shouldn't rule anything out, but it does seem more likely that Mone will ink a contract with Tony Khan during the first quarter of 2024.
By broaching the subject and bringing destiny into it, Bayley also had some talking on social media about the possibility of her leaving WWE this year. That's pure fan conjecture, but does raise an interesting point about exactly where a Bayley vs. Sasha Banks rematch would happen.
