WWE's Mark Henry & Lio Rush In Heated Twitter Feud
Rush & Henry both threatened to sue each other last week.
A nasty social media situation has developed between WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry and former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush over the past few days.
It erupted over a TMZ interview in which 'The World's Strongest Man' said he was considering a defamation lawsuit against Rush, who had accused Henry of harming African-American wrestlers' WWE careers. Henry was upset, having previously claimed that he had gone out of his way to help Lio's own WWE run, and shot down the following tweet:-
The situation continued over the weekend. Henry said he had talked WWE out of firing Rush in 2019, adding that he wouldn't speak to the 25-year-old again unless he apologised, and Lio claimed to have tried to call Busted Open Radio to discuss matters with his former WWE Champion - only to find the phone line didn't work.
Rush has since tweeted about filing his own defamation lawsuit:-
Henry, 48, remains affiliated with WWE despite not stepping through the ropes since 2018's Greatest Royal Rumble, and now helps out in a backstage capacity. Rush was let go as part of WWE's mass Black Wednesday releases on 15 April and has hinted at stepping away from wrestling entirely.
