Mia Yim (aka RETRIBUTION's Reckoning) has announced on Twitter that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

This news comes after the star debunked rumours earlier in the day suggesting that she'd tested positive, with her test later that afternoon eventually revealing that she did in fact have COVID-19. This sudden change of circumstance then prompted the star to clarify her status to fans online.

In the star's tweet on the social media site, she said:

“This morning at around 10:30 am, I debunked a rumor stating I was positive with Covid,” Yim wrote. “For that, I must make a statement. I have been getting tested every week for several months now, all have been negatives. I was negative last week. I got tested this afternoon, less than an hour ago and it came back positive. Please respect my privacy. Please stay safe, wash your hands, and wear a mask. See you all soon!”

Yim did appear on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, standing ringside during Slapjack and Xavier Woods' match on the night. However, this diagnosis now appears to have confirmed that she won't be taking part in tonight's Royal Rumble match, and will likely miss the next few editions of Raw.

At this time, it isn't clear whether Keith Lee, Yim's partner, will also have to sit out the event due to her positive test.

Most importantly, though, everyone here at WhatCulture wishes Mia Yim a speedy recovery and can't wait to see her back inside of a WWE ring again in the not too distant future.
