Bray Wyatt is WWE's new top merchandise seller, according to Dave Meltzer in the most recent issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The writeup offers no further details, though this is almost certainly down to Bray's marketable 'Fiend' gimmick, which currently forms the basis for a vast range of WWE t-shirts, mugs, blankets, a mask, and Hurt/Heal gloves.

Great news for Wyatt, whose career has been completely revitalised since his repackaging earlier this year. The current WWE Universal Champion took the company's top prize from Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel in October, defended it against Daniel Bryan at last week's Survivor Series pay-per-view, and is expected to introduce a new Firefly Fun House cast member on tonight's episode of SmackDown.

Wyatt's merch success comes at a time when WWE's online sales are in decline, with October's Q3 earnings report revealing a 16% slump on Q3 2018's numbers.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported that Becky Lynch was WWE's top merchandise seller back in March. Wyatt hadn't returned to WWE television by then, so the excitement surrounding his 'Fiend' persona has clearly pushed him ahead of 'The Man,' whose gimmicks presumably still sell well.
