WWE's Original WrestleMania 33 Plans For Bayley Revealed
Sounds like she missed out on her big Mania moment.
On the Feb. 13 episode of Raw, Bayley captured the Women's Title in the main event of the show. While it was a nice feel-good moment, it seemed to come out of nowhere. New reports suggest that was actually the case.
The Wrestling Observer repors that the original plan for Bayley was for her to win her first title at WrestleMania against Charlotte. She would then hold onto the belt headed into Payback on Apr. 30, which takes place in her hometown of San Jose, CA.
With that plan scrapped, moving forward it looks like it's going to be Bayley vs. Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax in a Fatal 4 Way at Mania. That makes sense from a booking perspective at the moment, as it's a way to tie all four women in together for the biggest show of the year.
Still, it seems that the first idea was probably the much better one. Bayley could have had that great WrestleMania moment by finally achieving her dream, but now we've already seen it play out on free TV. There are still ways that WWE can make her title run a success, but it's not getting off to the memorable start that it could have.
